Disposable Email Address
Need to create a disposable email address (DEA) with Gmail?
Read on to see exactly how.
Step 1:
Log into your Gmail account.
Step 2:
Click on the gear box icon located at top right of the page.
Step 3:
Click on the "Settings" link in the drop down menu.
Step 4:
Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
Step 5:
Next click on the "Create a new filter" link.
Step 6:
In the "To" input box, enter your email address with a dot anywhere before the @gmail.com part. You can use as many dots as you want. Below are 2 examples.
If you use a different domain then @gmail.com for your email, just make sure to put the dots before the @ symbol.
Step 7:
Next click "Create filter with this search >>".
Step 8:
In our case, we'll want to apply a label called "junk sites" to any email sent to the disposable email address we just created. Use any label you like.
Press the "Create filter" button.
Step 9:
You can confirm it's in place when you see something like the below.
Step 10:
You can now give your disposable email address out to any website or person and you'll receive emails directly in your Gmail inbox. If a website does not accept your Gmail disposable email address, you can always try one from EmailOnDeck.com
